The ending of this season is one I will remember for years to come. After convincing others to help, Zoa and Charly are able to make their grand escape by swimming to a boat that was bringing in more people from the mainland. Another party was about to ensue which means more people are going to be trapped on the island with no way home. As Zoa is swimming towards the boat, she sees her sister coming off the boat. She was invited to the party just like Zoa was. This is where the season ends. As far as a structure for a narrative goes, there is usually a resolution to the described conflict, but here there wasn't really a resolution. The writers ended the story short in order to make the audience more inclined to watch the next season. Personally, I plan on watching the second season the moment it comes out and I can't stop creating theories in my head as to what is about to happen. My second time watching this, I was watching with a friend and he is under the impression that Zoa will swim back to the mainland to stay with her sister. I think that now that we have seen just how much Zoa cares for Gabi, this is the only reasonable conclusion one could make.

As for the new B plot, África found a secret room with lots of computers and a massive satellite. She had accidentally pressed a button and something is going to happen. This is the plot that intrigues me the most as there is an infinite amount of things that could occur. The satellite could send a message to the mainland or give them access to all social media platforms' databases. While Erick is recuperating from getting stabbed, Astrid has to solely handle all of the rebels in Edén and the 100 new gusts that were invited to the party. My hope is that as the next season comes out we get more information on the backstories of Erick and Astrid and maybe even find out who exactly Isaac is. All in all, the writers did an excellent job captivating my friend and I to watch the next season when it airs. The season is currently in post-production so we should be seeing the final product some time in 2023. I highly recommed checking it out if you haven't already!
